With October's arrival the summer heat has, at long last, given way to the cooler temperatures of fall. In 2008, U.S. bottled water sales topped 8.6 billion US gallons for 28.9% of the U.S. liquid beverage market, exceeding sales of all other beverages except carbonated soft drinks. Americans drink 21 US gallons of bottled water per capita per year.

We can live without a lot of things in our world and survive quite nicely. Take away our computers and cell phones and a funny thing happens. We get all bent out of shape because we have become accustomed to the convenience they offer. Take away air conditioning? Highly uncomfortable but believe it or not we can survive:) Take away water?
